Commonshelf is a small, independent app — questions get answered by an actual person, not a ticket queue.
How do I delete my account?
Open the side panel (tap your logo, top left) and choose Delete account. This is instant and permanent — it removes your profile, your entire library, every journal entry, and all your follow relationships. There's no way to undo it or recover the data afterward, so it's worth being sure.
Who can see my reading journal?
Only you, always. It's enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface — nobody who follows you or browses your shelf can see it, and neither can we.
Who can see the books I log?
Your username, profile, and the books you log (title, author, status, rating, and any notes you write) are visible to other people using Commonshelf — that's the core idea of the app, sharing a reading life on purpose. Your email and password are never shared.
I forgot my password.
Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen to get a reset link sent to your email.
Something's broken, or I found a bug.
Email the address above with what you were doing when it happened, and which device/OS version you're on if you know it — that's usually enough to track down.
